Spring Farm Alpacas entered 9 fleeces to the 2022 Heart of England Fleece Show. We entered one huacaya (Springfarm Wizzard) and 8 suri fleeces.
Results
Wizard, having taken Champion Grey, best huacaya character and judge’s choice in 2021, took best male grey fleece and Reserve Champion grey fleece.
In suris, every single fleece we entered scored a mark of 80 or above!
Springfarm King Arthur scored 80.5. He took 1st place in 12 – 24 month brown and Champion Brown fleece.
Springfarm Babylon scored 82.75. She got 2nd place 6 – 12 month fawn.
Springfarm Baron scored 82.5. He got 1st place 12 – 24 month fawn.
Springfarm Apollo scored 80 points. He got 2nd place 24 – 48 month fawn.
We entered 4 fleeces in the 6 – 12 month Light class. We got 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places (out of 6 entered)!!!

We were over the moon with the results and scores and how they relate to our suri breeding programme. Tailor Made sired 7 of the alpacas fleeces entered in the show and the other fleece (Babylon’s) was sired by Aslan – see our suri stud male page for more details.
